If you’ve got hard plastics that you want to sell or make some money from then we are interested in buying it from you.
Enviroline’s Rigid PLastic Recycling system for Businesses is designed to be fast and efficient but more importantly ensure that they achieve the very top prices possible for their waste plastic materials.
There are many different types of rigid plastic and even more applications they are used for (see table below) but all can be recycled. Sometimes they are gathered together at our client’s sites in baled form ready for us to take them away but in the majority of cases they are loose in skips or other suitable containers like IBC Bulk Bags.
Rigid Plastic Waste Types:
We would like to receive rigid plastic from any of the following
- Post Industrial Mouldings
- Plastic Lump
- Compound Material
- Plastic Components
- Plastic Bottles
- Tubs
- Buckets
- Crates
- Drums
- Electrical Housings
- TV/Monitor Bodies
- Automotive Parts
- Car Bumpers
- Plant Pots
- Seed Trays
- Pipes
. . . and almost anything that is of a rigid plastic or semi-rigid plastic nature!
The only requirement is that there is at least a 2 tonne load to collect due to transportantion costs. However, this doesn’t have to be of just one grade as it can be a combination of different rigid plastic materials.
In order to further assist the development of new innovative materials or just help the decision making process for adding recycled rigid plastic into new products then it’s essential that the identification of the plastics we buy is as accurate as possible.
On site we will perform simple Touch, Tear (or Break), Burn, Visual and Odour tests which usually gives us a good idea of the materials we are looking at but in cases where deeper analysis is required then we will get a small sample sent to us and run either one or a combination of FTIR, Melt-Flow Index & Specific Density tests in the lab.
<If you would like to have a go at doing the basic on-site tests that we do then enter you name and e-mail address below and we will e-mail you our comprehensive “Plastic Identification Sheet”
Please note that care should be taken if performing burn tests on rigid plastic films, as gases emitted by some types of polymer, such as PVC, are toxic and be sure to perform these in a safe environment because of the fire risk when burning small amounts of plastic.
