All of the cardboard that we collect will be taken to a paper mill to be cleaned and then be pulped with water. The Pulping process helps to separate out the fibres which enable the cardboard to reform and to make new products.
We prefer baled cardboard as it’s much easier to transport as you can get a great deal more weight on a vehicle and as we all know that fuel costs are ridiculously high right now and therefore it makes both financial and environmental sense to reduce the amount of journeys used.
Cardboard is often refered to as KLS or OCC and is easy to bale together ready for transportation. Keeping the cardboard dry and clean will always command a better price.
